Quick report
2 miles of fairly dry trail leads to rapidly melting snout lower elevations. We skies the SW face of Thielsen and were able to ski back to within two miles of the trail head. W face showed signs of recent point release and wet loose stuffs likely triggered by rock fall from upper elevations on the W face and the lower bit of the summit block. Skinning was firm, crampons were helpful and should be for the next few days until the temperatures warm. Snow corned up around 10:30 and was of good consistency from around 9k elevation until 7,200. Snow at lower elevations remained firm in the shade of the trees but the velcro was out in the sunny patches. Rub on wax may prove to help the death leuge back to the trail less sticky.

Small wet loose/point release avalanches likely triggered from rockfall as the upper west face of Thielsen melts out. (Not D1 in size, user platform requires a D scale rating. Much smaller sluffs observed.)
