Mt. Ashland Campground

Completed three ski touring laps above Mt. Ashland Campground utilizing the Grouse Gap Sno-Park. Bluebird day with light winds, although temperatures remained relatively cold at 36 degrees Fahrenheit when we arrived at 930a. Throughout our laps, the surface remained very firm with very little softening in direct sunlight. Shaded areas were very firm, borderline icy. There were no signs of instability such as rollers/death cookies, cracks, recently avalanches, etc. Toward the top of our route, there was exposed ground in some places. There are places on the 20 Road that are almost down to bare dirt.
