Quick report
Similar to yesterdays observation on Girls, surface conditions were variable. A rain crust at low elevation slowly gave way to soft old snow intermixed with wind slabs of varying hardness. Wind slabs were not reactive and were more spotty than expected considering the amount and strength of wind that occurred last week.
The biggest take away was that there was still a moderate amount of loose snow available for transport. Snowpack in the gully averaged 3-4 feet and looked thinner on the steeper flanks of the gully with lots of exposed rocks.

Overcast and cold with light snowfall becoming moderate.
Snowpack
At 3200' found a snowpack with fair-poor structure, moderate strength and low stress. Stability tests did not produce notable results. Facets exist in the mid and lower snowpack and are forecasted to weaken and grow in size as long as the arctic cold air remains. See full profile for more details.
