As anticipated riding conditions were good on low angel Southern aspects with little risk. The January 9th rain event was clearly identifiable in the snow pack, but appears to be bonding well in this particular area. I was able to get some results from a non standardized shovel sheer test (STM). I am still a leary of steep North facing aspects. That persistent weak layer is lurking.
