Quick report

At this lower elevation, the only danger seems to be new snow sluffing. Super stout crust over lying the rest of the pack.

Photos:

1. New snow sluffing

2. This sums up the new snow without digging a pit! New snow sitting on an ice crust.

3. Pit at 6600ft. Dug down only 70 cm and this shows the stout 6 inch rain crust with wet snow underneath.

4. Wet snow under the crust able to make a snowball with.

5. Surface hoar everywhere in the protected areas.

Slufffing on the steepest slopes in new snow only.

Nice dry snow on all aspects. Up to 7 inches of new at 6800ft. sitting on firm rain crust. Fast fun turning on surface hoar.
