Quick report
Travel today was up Red Pine Gulch to the top of White Baldy which is due N and around 11,000ft, the snow remained dry throughout the day and the only activity noted was sluffing of the recrystallized light density snow on the steeps. We then broke trail out the W facing that was saturated by 2:00PM and dropped off NE facing Lake Peak into White Pine which also was holding dry snow late in the day. I did note one large slide that happened during the storm which I have not heard about, it was mid slope on SW facing Long John Silver in White Pine. There was also some shallow new wet activity in E facing Red Pine above the lake, and also got a look at some of the large wet slides from yesterday in the S facing chutes above the LCC road.

Snowpack
It seemed as White Baldy got a little less snow than some other places I’ve been since our last storm, there was about a foot of light density settled powder on the face, Lake Peak in White Pine seemed to get more of the lake affect snow. The snow heated up in the usual way, SE first then S, SW, E, and W the high elevation N, NE, and NW stayed dry.
