Snowpack

Fairly grim.  Northerlies down to 8000-8500' have 20-45cm total snow that has mostly faceted with decomposing melt-freeze or wind crusts thrown in for good measure.  West and southeast aspects sun crusted if not brown.  Snow surface continues to weaken; we "triggered" some shallow facet sluffs on some test slopes.  It'll be key to continue to map the weak snow across the region as avalanches will be both likely and tricky with any significant storm.
