Quick report
- Collapsing
- isolated
Skinning up the East face of Todd Lake, the underlying snowpack felt weak and gave way in a number of spots. It doesn't appear that new snow has bonded real well with the old stuff. I noticed the slab release when skinning back up.
Avalanche
I triggered a small slab release on a small steep convexity. The crown was about 12" thick and 15' across. North facing slope (Sherwood Forest) near tree line. It was very small and isolated.
