Quick report
Things generally seemed stable, with a solar crust up above treeline. When the sun started to soften things up a bit up higher, we found some pretty good skiing on stable feeling slopes. That being said there was plenty of evidence of point release and large roller balls on a variety of aspects at various elevations that should have clued us in to the wet slide potential.
Avalanche
Started trigger small wet slabs this afternoon on a sunny E/SE facing aspect around 6500’. Slabs were roughly 4” thick and were breaking off in roughly 4-7’ long slabs. The slides were slow moving, but it was enough to make me want to exit the slope back to the ridge line to find more protected terrain.
