Dug a pit at tree line and at the top of Hippie Bowl. At treeline, the storm layer of about 50cm from the weekend was fairly well bonded to a thick harder slab beneath it. It cracked under the shovel after 3 taps at shoulder length, and failed completely after 10. Neither failure had any energy. The pit at Hippie Bowl yielded similar results, a partial failure at 4 shoulder taps with about 1cm of movement, and fully failed at 10 taps with 2cm more of movement. We skied 3 laps in Hippie Bowl with no trouble👍
