Quick report
I've not been up into McGee Creek yet this season. My goals were to look at coverage and surface conditions.
Coverage is still adequate except for on straight solar aspects, and I was able to ski and skin to and from the car.
Surface conditions here are as worked and variable as anywhere that I've been in weeks. Below 9000 feet, any snow that wasn't windboard was melt/freeze. Solars are forming penetentes, angled towards the mid-winter sun. Gullies and most polars had knife hard windpack - the kind that shines like ice in the sun.
I found a few ribbons of well-developed facets in steep chutes, where at times when booting, I would sink through all the way to the rocks. These ribbons were scattered and discontinuous.
The silver lining is that decent coverage and firm snow made for generally easy travel.

Snowpack
No signs of instability on any aspect or elevation.
Some small pockets of facets, but they are scattered and discontinuous in this area.
