PF 50cm, wind light southerly, -3° HS 135cm CTE 7 down 10 in storm slab CTM down 20 in storm slab CTH down 90 on Jan 3 rain crust resistant planar failure Jan 7, 2020 dug two test pits TP1 SE aspect, 33°, 1800m, on exposed ridge with cross loading, PF 65cm, PS 25cm, High wind HS 220cm CTE 4 down 20 in storm slab CTH 28 down 100 sudden planar failure on Jan 3 rain crust TP2 N NE Aspect, 29°, 1800m, on same exposed ridge, strong southerly wind with cross loading, -0.5°C, PF 65cm, PS 25cm HS 250cm CTE 1 down 25 in storm slab Negative result on Jan 3 rain crust Measured snow depth with probe on ski down. HS 215cm at 1700m. HS 175cm at 1600m approx rain line HS 135cm at 1500m. observed cracking while skinning across unsupported slopes on suspected wind slab.
