MacPherson Fingers

Great day for the conditions out at the Fingers. Skiing was variable due to all the recent wind loading + cold temps. The mentioned weak layer in the region was seen at around 80cm down from the surface, but compression test results inspired confidence in skiing slopes around 35 degrees. We stuck mainly to slopes >35 degrees with good exit plans.

Compression test let go at 29 on the noted weak layer about 80-85cm down in the snowpack. Snow was consistent and well consolidated to the weak layer, with a 5-10cm layer of wind-blown powder at the top.
