Snowpack

Snow quality varied. South and west aspects appeared sun crusted with shallow snow pack and travel was difficult in steep trees. The east slope we skied and tested had substantially deeper snow pack and blower snow. Over 3meters...likely from a steady and evenly distributed accumulation of wind deposit. This new storm/wind snow was just starting to stiffen with some slab like properties in pockets at/above tree line. Ski quality was great.
