McDonald West Shoulder

Skied between Mcdonald west shoulder and into NRC gully. Above treeline was a very solid wind crust. Not great for skiing. In the trees and below treeline lots of good snow. There was no new avalanche activity in NRC gully. Temp was -30 and sunny. In the open bowl there were wind slabs that appeared well bonded cracks formed but only 5-10 feet long in certain spots about 1-2 inches deep.
