Skied up the Chester Lake today to check out the more mellow slopes at the back of the lake. Did some digging and noted a 20-25cm thick wind slab at the top of the snowpack with underlying facets. Also noted a recent natural size 1 on the fan of Chester Couloir, as well as more natural activity further back in the valley behind the lake. As such decided not to go for any turns today.
Temps were around -5 at the car at 0900, and up to +1 at the car by noon. Winds were also picking up through the morning
