Fist Avi Paths

-23 C at trailhead at 8:45 AM. Slight wind making it a cold walk across the flats. Light dusting of new snow. Walked up to Avi paths under the Fist and a little west below Mt Smuts. About 20 cms of consolidated new snow on top. No signs of recent slides, no whumping on skin up. Little to no wind with grey skies. 2 laps in the area. Both runs were on < 30 degree slope. The snow had a wind crust making for a little tricky skiing in parts. Some pockets of great turns mixed in. Valley remained cold and it had started to sprinkled a little snow as we finished up and walked back to truck at 2:30 PM. -17 C at truck. Uneventful day wrt to snow stability however we did not venture in to steep slopes and did not conduct any stability tests. With 30 cms of new snow the skiing with be great.
