Given the cold weather, we opted for a solar aspect and were treated with warm skinning and decent skiing. We saw no signs of recent activity or instability and dug a pit at the top of our run more out of curiosity. A lot of faceted and sugar snow inter-mixed with sun crust but really no consolidated slab. We figured from the results we'd have some small sluffs on the decent, which turned out to be accurate. Pit results below: CTH-21 - failed 15cm down on sun crust Aspect - SSW Slope Angle - 25 degrees Snow Depth - 97cm Air Temperature - 10 degrees Elevation - 2415m
