Quick Observation

Skied from about 2650m back to the wildlife fence (1600m) starting just across from the Upper Bosworth weather station. We decided not to climb up the final section to the weather station due to finding a wind slab over a hard solar crust found below the massive cornice. The alpine skiing was highly variable, wind slab to ice and everything in-between. The wide open drainage found to the west of the closure skied better but was still variable. I rated the skiing 'OK' but it ranged from 'Good' to 'Terrible' depending on the micro aspects which you made your turns on. The inversion was in full force, skinning up the forest in full down gear and in base layers in the alpine.
