Avalanche Information

Ski cut was made and at the end of cut, a small wind slab released, running about 10m, then stepping down full depth to ground (layer of basal facets). We then watched as the entire slope on both sides gave way and gained mass and speed past full path, snapping tress on the way. The resort had reported +100cm in the last 5days, with considerable wind loading in the past 48hrs. Knowledge of loading was present, though we were unaware of the mornings large incident a few bowls over.
