Metal Dome Did Not Disappoint!

Lots of people out enjoying Metal Dome this weekend! The snow at treeline and just above it was awesome. Powder, with some sharks but avoidable with your usual level of early season caution. Near the Metal Dome summit the snow was a bit crustier and more wind affected. We did not see any evidence of recent avalanche activity. Bootpacking necessary for the first approx 1km, depends on exactly where you park though.
