Another day of great views and sunshine in the Pine Pass. Moderate southerly winds kept upper elevations cool throughout the morning and early afternoon which unfortunately also kept the snow crusty and hard as well. The skiing was pretty terrible as there is no powder left anywhere, but it was still a lovely day to be out. There were no recent avalanches or signs of instability. Late in the afternoon the sun did break down the crusty snow a bit on steep sunny slopes making for better skiing.
