Quick Observation

Observed a large size 2.5 natural slab avalanche on a steep solar aspect above Boom Lake that likely occurred on March 5th and ran down to the lake level. Also observed a size 1.5-2 slab avalanche on a steep solar aspect above the Chickadee Valley that occurred either March 5th or 6th and covered a bunch of previous tracks. Suspect that both failed on a buried sun crust with daytime heating.
