Quick Observation

We had a few strange experiences with people today. First, a single rider was going up the same uptrack as our group to the top of the ridge. When we reached the top, he asked if it was good to go down the backside of MacPherson, and where to go donw. We kindly suggested going back the same way, or to join our group to the Womb, and definitely not go down the back side. That person didn't have any kind of avalanche gear at all and only very tiny pack with some water (and maybe some snacks?). We recommended buying the proper gear and an avalanche course before heading back out again, but our attempt seemed to be in vain. He had decent snowboarding skills which made things easier to manage, but we were worried that he would go offtrack on some concerning features at times. In the end, all went pretty well and everyone made it down safely. He then disappeared, without a word, through woods on the way out. We are still wondering if what we experience and saw was real, or did we encounter the mythical Jackalope and we simply spent the day down in the rabbit hole!? Then second prize goes to the group of skiers who started skiing right on top of us without a warning and while we were still going up the established skin track!!! And especially to the guy who was "sending it for the gram" and crashed only a few meters on top of 2 of our party members. Happy family day everyone :)

Snowpack

The snow was pretty good at the top of the Womb. The snow was variable and wind affected throughout the second section and bellow. We released a few very small cookies on steep rolls.
