Near Cherryville

Dug two pits, doing multiple isolated columns on each. Fairly consistent results, all sudden planar. NNW aspect CTE4, SP, 15 down on hoar. CTM14, SP, 75 down on a crust. W aspect CTE1 on that same 15cm layer.CTM 15 SP 50, thick crust. On sunny open areas it was very icy, as can be seen in the photo.
