great run in the monashees

Lots of UV radiation being trapped by clouds. Some sluffing on steep features. Saw a big block of snow that was trapped on a tree fall off of it and end up on the logging road (picture). Sideslipping on a tiny windlip/cornice just above the logging road near valley bottom (the snow was starting to feel wet there) made the thing crack around my snowboard (2nd picture). Very fun day with great riding, we didn't go very high. I wouldn't have wanted to stand below a cornice today and was glad to be out of avalanche terrain before it got too warm.
