HS 125cm at 2300m on NWW aspects at two locations in the black prince region. F to 4F to 1F in the top 40cms and well settled P mid pack. Thin 1cm melt freeze or sun crust noted down 20cms. No results in CT. Solid wind crust on surface on exposed ALP slopes, however sheltered terrain in the ALP skied reasonably well. Polar aspects at TL and BTL had approx 25cms of low density grains over firm settled pack. Old avi debris makes for some challenging skiing on avi tracks. No wind today, OVC, -15 degrees mid afternoon. Pockets of large surface hoar (5cm) in some locations BTL.
Oddly the low density grains BTL seemed to ski a bit heavy.
