Legitimately deep Wednesday in the Tutshi chutes. Felt like a day of coastal storm skiing down at Shames. Total reset after a busy weekend in this area - heavy work breaking trail and no tracks to be seen. -3 at the car at 10:30am, already around 10cm of wet snow accumulated on the road. As we moved up temps dropped to -6 and the storm snow stayed cold. Between 20-30cm ski penetration. Storm snow bonding well to a combination of old wind crust and the most recent melt-freeze crust. By 3pm there was 30cm+ of light unconsolidated new snow near the top of this terrain feature. Wind remained calm all day. No avalanches observed. Skiing was fantastic.
