Avalanche Information

Lots of large loose dry and small slab avalanches running down the east face of Mount Pocaterra, due west of the shoulder of Pocaterra ridge. Some crowns visible, with a number of the runs going the whole height of the face.

Snowpack

Resistant planar failure, on the interface between the storm slab and a crust below. Thick basal crust also present (75cm down) Also had a skier jump on a pit and cause a sudden failure, but with low energy and didn’t propagate or move downhill.
