Mt Nestor

Amazing spring conditions this morning on Mt Nestor! Followed the scramblers route up/down. There was a very solid freeze in the slide path; the crust was over 10cm thick in most places above 2000m. Winds were calm, very light gusts occasionally. Clear skies. Dropped in from the summit at 10:45am and SE-E aspects were perfect corn, S aspects were still very firm. The snow on Spray Lakes was still frozen solid and non-breakable as of 11:15am.
