Quick Observation
Rode the Forester drainage up to the Catamount Glacier, still lots of snow up above the glacier, we ran out of probe at 320cm and still didn't tag bottom even in the snow pit. Dug a 130cm deep pit and did some compaction tests, snow was sturdy and didn't get any propagation or fracturing until pried the side of the column and it clean sheared at the bottom of the pit. Riding was mediocre, snow was well set up, and the weather couldn't have been better. Great day for touring around. Towards the end of the day sun soak faces and cornices were starting to let go making for some smaller slides in the class 1-1.5 range, predominantly in the couloirs. Beautiful day over all
