Tusk South Slopes

Left parking at 8:20 580m in runners, switched to skins at 10:05 1420m. Easy skinning through the meadow, probed 65cm at Tusk turnoff. Reached the base of the summit block at 12:30 2200m to transition, probed 0-50cm. On the descent, crested the SW bench at 13:00 2080m, probed 0-300cm. Skis came off at 13:50 1485m for lack of coverage. Cold temps and clear skies all day with steady solar input and calm winds. Skiing was 10-15cm of cold and dry on a supportive crust, somewhat more sun affected as we got down towards the meadow. Significant wind transport up high reflected by variable coverage. Surface hoar at the meadow with crystals up to 5mm. Props to the solo skier who put in the track and summited before we rolled up.
