No signs of instability in the alpine, and in areas with no wind effects. At 2000m on a south aspect we found 25cm of fresh snow on top of 20cm from earlier in the week, this was then on 25cm of moist facets to the ground. The new snow was fist hardness but did slide on Monday’s snow with an easy hand sheer test. The snow from Monday was also fist hardness. The facets on the ground were 4 fingers. Great skiing right from the ridge top on unconsolidated blower powder. Playing around on a very small wind loaded steep convex roll below treeline we were able to release a 60cm wind slab that knocked a skier onto their hip. It slid on the facets right ion the rocks.
