Gin Peak Hanging Lake

Lots of fresh snow from the previous day, Saturday. Warming in the morning caused a lot of tree bombing on the way up. The road up to Hanging lake is getting filled in however there are still a lot of exposed trees and requires technical skiing. May still want to bring your rock skis. Up Gin Peak is very nice. Lots of fresh snow. We skiied the north facing aspect. Some skiier triggered sluffing on the way down from the unconsolidated Saturday snow. 165cm base, 30cm ski pen at 1557m. 150cm base, 40cm foot pen and 25cm ski pen at 1747m. Fun day!
