Kokaknee north

Nice day out above the clouds. Found the button on a very steep slope. Otherwise the only issue with the skiing was a lite rime crust from Sunday, the locals claimed it wasn't there, but it is.

Ski cut sent a good amount of sluff down very steep face. A slab failed and propagated either direction at the cliff/bowl transition. Interface was new snow on top of likely rimed, 1 finger wind slab from a few days ago, before the lower density snow restarted. 30cm x 60m wide, harmless. Definitely seemed like a good test for structure of slope, sadly no massive avalanche occurred.
