Quick Observation

We skied up Chickadee Valley towards Chimney Col and found 30cm of windslab snow above 20cm of facets just above treeline. Whumpfing and shooting cracks were observed at this elevation as well as evidence of a recent size 1.5 avalanche off Mt Whymper.

At treeline, we observed 30cm of slab snow on 20cm of facets.
