Observation: Parleys Canyon

Trace amount of snow at the trailhead, with 2" at my high point around 8500'. Snow is shallow at this location, with a supporting melt freeze crust which makes travel easy. Cold dry snow still found on the polar aspects up high. No signs of instability today. You can still see some of the old avalanches on all the steeper aspects around the Mt. Aire zone.
