Quick report
Skied Red Cone Bowl ~11:30 today. Solar aspects on the skin up were certainly softening as soon as the sun hit, but weren’t producing roller balls intentionally or on their own when we climbing around 10:15. Snow in the bowl proper was still quite firm when we descended, with only the highest, most easterly aspects hosting a bit of corn. Perhaps would’ve been more fun ~45 minutes later. Saw runnels and roller balls beneath the cliff band directly adjacent to the bowl from what seemed like the last day or two, but none from today. Also spotted some glide cracks starting to open beneath Crystal Crag and the cliffs near Hollywood Chute. Generally good skiing out there, but timing it is certainly the challenge.
