Quick report

Quick morning lap in Virginia Lakes. Solid freeze overnight and supportable skinning and skiing all the way up and down. Easts were softening by 1030 am and norths were still firm.

Coverage on north and east is still adequate and skiing to and from the car is possible. South aspects are bare except for in favored gullies, most of which are discontinuous.

Lots of people out and about.

Snowpack

Not much to say here. Everything I touched was melt/freeze snow, mostly in the freeze form.

I observed one small, skier-triggered wet loose slide that is likely a few days old. It was at 11000 feet on an east aspect.

I observed no signs of instability this morning.
