Quick report

We found great snow throughout the area. HS on a N facing slope at 9,600ft was 180cm. Soft, faceted surface snow varied in ski pen from 5-20cm depending on whether the snow was drifted or more scoured. Even wind board surfaces were quite soft throughout the area. Probing into the snow the 1/1 crust was not very prominent. Lower down, sheltered polars were holding onto their dry snow qualities later in the day. Melted snow surfaces were beginning to freeze by 3pm as they moved into the shade. No instabilities observed.
