Snow from 600ish feet from soloman lake up to about 2k' was extremely stable and unresponsive. Near 2354' as we transitioned form a western aspect to a southern aspect, we observed cracking under foot, propogating from roughle 3 feet. We began traveling more slowly, and more spread out on the southern ridge. In lower conssequence terrain at roughly 2500', we remote triggered a slide that just met the criteria for D2. The crown appeared to be 5-6" deep. Remote triggered roughly 20' above us. The crown was likely about 15' wide. The base of the slide showed a thin layer of faceted snow - appeared to be a storm slab. There also appeared to be a mildly responsive layer that was another few inches deep, also appearing to be resting ontop of a thin layer of faceted snow. It was propogating similarly (when ski cut, there would be slight sliding/cracking, propogating about 3 ft. out from any cuts or stomps). Only responsive to intense input - enough to cause haste in changing location to transition and exit.
