Observation photo 1

Quick report

Found 1 inch of rain saturated snow at sea level.  Snow remained wet up to 500' and then gradually became moist and 6" deep by 1800'.  The new snow was poorly bonded to the underlying hard wind slab with hand shears and test slopes failing easily.  Pit results at 1800' produced ECTN2 down 10 cms and ECTN11 down 15 cms (new/old interface).  Temperature was 35 ° at 1800'.  New snow was sitting on dense facets consisting of faceted chains of rounded clustered grains up to 8mm.

Cloud cover prevented observation of wet loose or other natural activity
