Yet another day of calm and clear conditions. Temperatures at mid elevations were in the near-freezing range and by 1230 we were noticing subtle signs of warming on solar aspects on Marmot.

Snowpack

Surface snow was faceted throughout our tour. Even in areas that consisted of old avalanche debris, ski penetration was pleasantly in the 5cm range. Surfaces remained cool throughout our tour and we saw no evidence of recent wet loose activity.  We observed right-side-up structure and supportable snow surfaces between 3000-4300 ft.
