Generally better-than-expected ski quality, with plenty of rock sharks and hummocks available for spice. Excellent willow thrashing to be had in the lower valley.
Avalanche
Our party of two triggered a small-moderate loose dry avalanche at ~3,600’ on the N side of 4068, on a ~40 deg slope, which seemed to run on the icy ground surface. It was slow-moving, but stripped the slope to the ground where it ran. Skiing in this location felt like dust on crust conditions, with nice loose powder overlying the icy layer below.
