We sort of intentionally triggered a small/ medium sized avalanche in a cross loaded feature adjacent to the 'found' couloir. The crown was 30 to 50 cm, ~50' across, and failed on the old snow which was melt/ freeze crust. The slide ran about 400'. I then skied on the bed surface and trigger a deeper slab avalanche that failed on fist hard facets. This pocket was smaller, about 20'x20', about 30cm thick. The surface snow is soft and a little upside down sitting on melt freeze crust and variable height wind slab. Below the 4F wind slab are soft facets. Plenty of loose snow avalanches seen around the valley some of which triggered the soft storm snow.
