Slabs started to talk to us this afternoon with a fair amount of collapsing and cracking. Moving out into the alpine and away from ski-packed terrain proved skier compaction works with a remote trigger size 2 from 20 ' away.
Weather
Last night's storm brought us 11" of fluff and the winds were kind. We've had 27.5" in the last seven days. OVC, max temp 25/16 deg. WSW 15-20 G 30's S-1 this afternoon w/ minimal accumulation. Moderate wind transport NTL and riming this afternoon.
Snowpack
W aspects lacked enough of a slab this AM BTL to allow any propagation. Isolated storm slabs 6-10 " thick in areas with wind loading. NTL on W aspects this afternoon slab development was slightly more pronounced w/ cracking and collapsing, but still soft enough to limit propagation. Ski packing in UWW is working for now.
