Snowpack
In wind-sheltered locations around 11,000ft, there was 4" to 5" of low-density snow over a thick layer of weak facets below. The soft snowpack made for good riding conditions. No obvious signs of instability were observed in this terrain.

While traveling along an exposed ridgeline, I remotely triggered an avalanche on an easterly-facing bowl. There was obvious wind-loading into this bowl. The crown was about 8 to 12" deep, and the bed surface was clearly identifiable as soft facets. The bed surface on this slope didn't appear to be wind hardened by the wind event at the start of the week, like some other slopes in the same area.
