East aspects were warming on the way up. We dug a pit at 8400ft on a west face in the trees. The ground layer was pretty solid, but there was a weak layer (PST 90/100end) at 25cm up.
There was minimal new snow, maybe 1 inch. The rest of the snowpack was a mix of fist to 4F layers.
HS was 85cm.
