Quick report

Skinned up Peter's Ridge. Finding thick crusts and surface hoar. On a 5500' south facing slope I found a 30cm thick crust, HS 45-55cm. Thick supportive crusts were everywhere with the exception of heavily shaded NW facing slopes which were sugary. Lots of roller balls from the last few days particularly in south facing open terrain and snow shedding off of rock faces. Test pit on an east facing 30° slope at 6640. HS 170cm. 1cm crust on top, a 66cm windslab on a 2cm melt freeze crust. CTN ECTX. After stability tests snow columns fractured in the middle of the windslab.
