Quick report
Several snow pits on NE slope at 6000 ft all had similar results. ECT N 6 Clean fracture on tap 6 about 15-20 cm deep on the most recent buried surface hoar, no propagation. Shovel shear was clean, but difficult to budge. Hand pits (30 x 30 cm) had a clean block to pull out, also 15 cm deep. Could present as slough, with a clean bed surface. We concluded an avalanche with a crown is unlikely in that area.
